2.46 Million Unemployed In The UK

We have written about the number of unemployed people in the US - about 14 Million. We spotted this stat about UK unemployment today:

"UK unemployment fell by 36,000 in the three months to the end of March to 2.46 million, the second quarterly drop in a row, official figures show.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the rate of unemployment in the UK was now 7.7%."

Given the times, 7.7 percent does look like a number that might not be a cause for major concern.
