34 Percent: Switzerland Has The Lowest Home Ownership Rate In Western Europe

We are not implying anything on the Buy Vs Rent equation here - this is just something we spotted - at less than 34 percent, Switzerland has the lowest home ownership rate in the whole of Western Europe. And for a country doing so well economically that is indeed a surprising number (Source)

In case you were wondering, for the same year 2010, the home ownership rate in the US was 66.5 percent. Yes, almost double the Swiss number.
