This is a trend that we have spotted many times here at Statspotting - that immigrants contribute a lot to Silicon valley, and some stats in the opposite direction - we spotted this stat today, that of all the patents filed by top schools in the US, an overwhelming 76 percent are filed by immigrants (Source)
